WhAT is Indra Yoga?


You've been looking for something special, something authentic... you've found it. We believe in the magic of the ancient Yogic traditions. We believe in intentional movement and supported stillness. We also believe in music, laughter, and play. It is our Dharma (path) to hold a practice space for our yoga community to move and breathe and grow together. Our wonderful team of teachers have the experience and knowledge to guide your yoga practice beyond your body, beyond your limiting beliefs, and right into your Hridayam, your wild and beautiful heart.

OUR CLASS TYPES

 

INDRA FLOW.

Our signature gently heated Vinyasa flow is intended to warm, strengthen and open your body, while quieting your busy mind. This dynamic breath-per-movement style of practice will hold you fiercely present, while asking that you fully experience your transitions in movement. The Indra Flow is structured around traditional sun salutations, sequenced with mindful application of functional and creative movement concepts… oh, and you will definitely get a little sweaty. This is the Vinyasa class you’ve been looking for.



 

Indra light.

Take a breath and let’s slow down a little. This class has all the elements of Vinyasa, but with a softer approach and a cooler temperature. This is a practice for those who like to keep it chill, and perfect for those just getting started. We offer a steady warm up, an empowering flow, and a cool down that feels just right. Our teachers will give you all the details to create alignment that is suitable for YOU, while offering progressions that make this practice accessible for everyone. Let yoga meet you exactly where you are. 



YIN.

The challenge in this style of practice is in the stillness. Our traditional style of Yin is about arranging your body into poses and then simply allowing yourself to melt. Yin is known for it’s deeply meditative effects, measurable improvement in your range of motion, as well as it’s regenerative properties for your connective tissue. There is great power in this practice of surrender.

 

STRETCH & RESTORE.

Welcome to Cloud 108. No need to look any further, this is the one. A gently stretchy and restorative practice, with lots of props and breathwork practices. We all carry tension in our bodies, whether from movement patterns, emotional patterns, or both. This class is intended to release that tension and ease into new space in your spine, hips, hamstrings, shoulders... pretty much everywhere else you can think of. Safe, soft and perfect for EVERYONE.

About The Owner

eRYT-500, YACEP, Reiki Master/Teacher.

You may know me, I’ve been around SW Florida teaching yoga for quite some time. I think I’m most well known for my playful teaching style, traditional yogic values, and dynamic Vinyasa sequencing.

I’ve also built my reputation in the area as an innovator. I’ve created new workshop styles, events, even tiny subculture communities. I’ve lead pop up classes in art centers, breweries, parking lots, libraries, arenas, nature centers… you name it and I’ve probably gotten yoga all over it. In 2020… well we all know what happened then. I took that time at home to not only become credentialed in my own yoga teacher training program, but to begin building a platform that was bigger than just me.

That year I also began teaching yoga privately to local abstract artist and designer, the amazing Maria Collier. She started out as my favorite client, quickly became a good friend, and ended up becoming my business partner! And here we are today. Growing Indra Yoga from a tiny freelance yoga team into a fully realized dream of a studio.
